How it works
Three steps, and only the first one is yours.
Setup takes about thirty seconds. After that the extension does the filing.

Pick where the file lives
On first run, choose or create one
.xlsxfile — Documents, OneDrive, a Dropbox folder, wherever you keep things. Or skip it and export on demand. That's the whole setup. -

Click the icon on a posting
It reads the page: company, role, location, field, work type and listed pay. If it isn't sure the page is a job posting, it asks first rather than filing something wrong.

The workbook rewrites itself
Every add, edit and status change rewrites the file in place — dashboard sheet, native Excel charts, the full list and a summary. Open it in Excel any time.

Most trackers ask you to hand your job search to a website. This one has no backend at all — so there is nothing to breach, sell, or shut down.

There is no host_permissions entry — which is exactly why Chrome
never warns that this extension can read your data on all websites.

Coverage
It reads the boards you're already using.
Most job sites publish standard structured data, which the extension reads first. Named sites below get purpose-built handling on top of that.
Questions
Straight answers.
Do I have to use Excel?
No. On first run you pick one of three modes: link a spreadsheet and let it save automatically, export a workbook or CSV only when you ask, or skip the spreadsheet entirely and use the dashboard on its own. You can change your mind in Settings at any point.
What if it reads the posting wrong?
Fix it in one click. Every field is editable from the dashboard, and the status can be changed straight from the table row. The extension scores how confident it is in what it read — below the threshold it stops and asks you rather than filing a guess.
Can I bring in applications I've already tracked?
Yes. Settings → Import takes a CSV with Company and Role columns — column names are matched loosely, so most exports from other trackers work as-is — or a JSON backup exported from this extension.
What happens if I move or rename the spreadsheet?
The dashboard notices the next time it tries to save and shows a Reconnect button. Point it at the file's new location once and automatic saving resumes. Nothing is lost in the meantime — your applications live in the browser too, and the file is rewritten from them.
Does it work on Edge, Brave or Arc?
Yes. Anything built on Chromium 116 or newer runs it, including Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera and Vivaldi. Linking a spreadsheet needs the File System Access API, which those browsers have on desktop; if it's unavailable the extension hides that option and offers export instead.
Is my data synced between computers?
Deliberately not — syncing would mean a server. Applications are
stored with chrome.storage.local, which never leaves the machine.
If you want the same list on two computers, put the linked spreadsheet in a folder
your cloud drive already syncs, or export a JSON backup and import it on the other
machine.
What does it cost?
Nothing, and there's no paid tier waiting behind it. There is no server to run, so there's nothing to charge for.
